From the 1st August 2011, most makes of tyres will go up in price with the average being 6%. Michelin are to rise 5% and Falken 8%.
The rise is blamed on the higher cost of raw materials (rubber and steel) and increased production costs throughout the world.
Most wholesalers will apply these price increases to existing stock, so if you need new tyres, now is the time to buy them!
