How It Works

Monty’s Tyres have been fitting tyres at customer’s home addresses or place of work for 11 years. We have the experience and the tools to do the job right, first time.

Should you wish to book one of our fitting vans to come to you to change your tyres, follow these simple steps to get your all inclusive quote and book your appointment.

Step 1 >

The first thing you need to obtain is your current tyre size. This detail can be found on the sidewall of the tyre and is a series of numbers and letters. Our How To Find Your Tyre Size guide will help you collect all the required details. Please check both front and rear tyre sizes, as some vehicles have bigger tyres on the rear than the front.

Please do not guess your tyre size, read it from your handbook or get it from ‘online guides’ as these are not 100% accurate. If we turn up to replace your tyres and the tyre size or other information is wrong, we may charge a callout fee to cover our time and other costs (see Terms & Conditions).

Step 2 >

Most modern vehicles come with Locking Wheel Bolts or Nuts. These are special bolts/nuts that use an adapter to remove them from the vehicle and help prevent the wheels from being stolen. Please ensure you have this adapter as without it we will not be able to remove your wheels and therefore unable to replace your tyres. Examples of Locking Wheels Bolts/Nuts are below:

Locking Wheel Bolt/Nut

Should we arrive and your locking wheel bolt/nut adapter is not available and we are not able to fit your tyres, we may charge you a fee to cover our time and costs.

It is important you check to see if you have these special bolts/nuts before you request a quote.

Step 3 >

Once you have all of this information, you can then call us on 0845 260 8993 or complete our Request A Quote form. We will then give you an all inclusive quote for your new tyres and tell you when we would be able to attend to fit them.

Once you are happy to proceed, we will then ask you for:

  • Your Full Name
  • The address that we are coming to to fit your tyres (if this address is your place of work then we will need your billing address but we can take this when we have completed the job)
  • A Contact Telephone Number
  • Your Car Make, Model and registration number
  • What position on car the tyres are being changed (i.e. both fronts, both rears etc)
  • Locking Wheel Bolts/Nuts – do you have them and if so do you have the key?
  • AM (8-12) or PM (12-5:30) fitting time
  • Any preference on day (we will do our best to accomodate your needs!)
  • Method of Payment (remember, we do not require payment for tyres up front!)

Step 4 >>>

On the day your tyres are to be fitted, we shall telephone you to let you know a more accurate time as to when we will be attending. When our fitter arrives, they will advise on you on how long the fitting is likely to take and if you will need to move the vehicle to a safer location (it may be in a tight space or on a hill) and then begin to change your tyres. Our vans carry all the necessary tools, air power and electric to change your tyres, balance them and refit them to your car.

Step 5 >>>

Once the fitter has finished fitting your tyres, he will request payment and you will be advised of any further work required (i.e. wheel alignment, suspected hub/brake defects). We only accept payments via Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard and Maestro (Switch/Solo). We will accept cash but our fitters do not carry change. Payment by American Express or cheque is not permitted. Payment is taken on a secure mobile card processing terminal, you will be required to enter your PIN number to authorise payment. You will then be given a copy of the card reciept and will be asked to sign our jobsheet to say that the tyres have been fitted to your satisfaction.

Step 6 >>>

Once we have left, if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us on 0845 260 8993 or via our Contact Us form. Your new tyres are covered by a minimum 12 month manufacturers defect guarantee. This guarantee does not cover accidental damage, punctures or any other damage that is not a failure in the tyres construction.
